Refurbishment of the ammonia reactor internals

The refurbishment of the ammonia reactor internals called for specialised installation and welding work in exceptionally demanding working conditions. The emphasis was on precise execution, safety and compliance with high technical standards.

A particular challenge was working inside the closed, nitrogen-filled reactor, using specialised equipment and strictly defined safety procedures. The work was organised around the clock, 24 hours a day, with careful planning and coordination of all activities.

One of the most technically demanding tasks was welding Inconel 600 mesh only 0.9 mm thick, which required a high degree of precision and control during execution. Tight deadlines and the demanding conditions inside the reactor added further complexity to the project.
