Heavy residue upgrading programme, Rijeka oil refinery

At the Rijeka oil refinery, pipelines were prefabricated and installed as part of an industrial plant. The work was carried out with precise preparation, safe execution and compliance with the technical requirements.

The project covered more than 16,000 welded joints, approximately 36,000 diameter inches (DI). Work was carried out on pipelines of carbon, alloy and stainless steels, including A106 Gr.B, P9, P11, A333 Gr.6, 304/304L and 316/316L, in a range of sizes and configurations.

The work included the preparation and prefabrication of pipeline elements, welding and final installation on site. All activities were carried out in accordance with the technical documentation, the prescribed procedures and quality control requirements, with particular emphasis on quality of execution and safety of work within an operating refinery.
